Galileo – 360° Pan-and-Tilt Device for iPhone iOS

A Santa Cruz, California-based company, Motrr, has a Kickstarter project up and running at the moment in hopes of raising enough funding to get this remote 360° pan-and-tilt robotic platform for your iOS devices.
The Galileo is a revolutionary, iOS-controlled robotic iPhone platform with infinite spherical rotation capability. Just swipe your finger on the screen of your iPad or other iOS device and Galileo reacts, orienting your iPhone or iPod Touch accordingly. With applications in areas of photography, cinematography, social networking, and video conferencing, Galileo gives iOS devices endless possibilities of remote-controlled motion. Capable of infinite 360° pan-and-tilt at speeds up to 200° per second in any orientation, Galileo is an invaluable tool to everyone from an amateur photographer to the professional cinematographer, and vastly improves the experience of video chat for anyone needing to stay connected. Bape Shark Laptop Sleeve

The Bape Shark design remains to be one of the most hyped to be ever created by NIGO and his brand. This week Bape released the new Bape Shark Laptop Sleeves. They come in black, red and camouflage, featuring the same trademark design and applications as the hoodies that made the design famous. [via]

APPTAG Laser Blaster

The AppTag Laser Blaster ($35) promises to turn your phone (or iPod touch, we suppose) into a laser tag gun/shooter that works via IR and high frequency sound to let app developers create nearly any kind of multiplayer shooting game you can imagine, all without needing to block the headphone port or eat away battery via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Six buttons — including a pressure sensitive trigger and an oversized reload switch — enable plenty of real-world interaction, and compatibility with most Nerf and Buzzbee toy guns serves as icing on the geek-flavored cake. iPhone Rangefinder By Photojojo

iPhone cases and accessories are a dime a dozen, but every now and then we find an especially cool one. Photojojo has created this neat Rangefinder case that not only has the appearance of a rangefinder camera, but has the functional features such as a shutter button and viewfinder. It also has loops for a camera strap and a tri-pod mount. You can cop the case for $65, but for $99, you also get additional lenses like a fisheye, telephoto and wide/macro. You can order yours HERE. Apple To Unveil iPad 3 During First Week Of March

Apple is set to announce its much-anticipated iPad 3 during the first week of March, according to sources for All Things D. It’s unclear when the device will actually launch, but it is said be “pretty much what we’ve been led to expect by the innumerable reports leading up to its release.”

The device is likely to make its debut at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco — the location Apple has continually chosen for big announcements in previous years. And it is expected to launch around one week later, with the same delay between unveiling and launch that we experienced with the iPad 2.

According to the sources, the device will be exactly what we’ve been led to expect from recent rumors: It will pack a faster processor (likely to be Apple’s A6 chip), an improved graphics processing unit, and a 2048 x 1536 Retina Display.

This fits in nicely with iPad 3 components that were leaked, which confirm the third-generation device will feature new internals, but the same external design. [via]

Steve Jobs: Billion Dollar Hippie

Broadly considered a brand that inspires fervour and defines cool consumerism, Apple has become one of the biggest corporations in the world, fuelled by game-changing products that tap into modern desires. Its leader, Steve Jobs, was a long-haired college dropout with infinite ambition, and an inspirational perfectionist with a bully’s temper. A man of contradictions, he fused a Californian counterculture attitude and a mastery of the art of hype with explosive advances in computer technology.

Insiders including Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, the chairman who ousted Jobs from the company he founded, and Jobs’ chief of software, tell extraordinary stories of the rise, fall and rise again of Apple with Steve Jobs at its helm.

With Stephen Fry, world-wide web inventor Sir Tim Berners-Lee and branding guru Rita Clifton, Evan Davis decodes the formula that took Apple from suburban garage to global supremacy.

The RZA’s World App For iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch

What could be more appropriate from Bobby Digital, aka RZA, than his own app for the iPhone or iPad? RZA has gotten together with Charisma Apps to introduce RZA’s World, something that will give fans a glimpse into the world of the rapper/producer/actor/composer. RZA’s World is broken down into four chambers: Soundtrack to Your Life, in which RZA provides original beats and worldly advice; RZA’s Chess Chamber, which offers 3D gameplay (remember, a game of chess is like a sword fight); The Vault, where one can find archival content including two Bobby Digital films; and finally, What’s News — the latest news on the man himself. Click through for video of RZA discussing the features of his app, then head over to iTunes to purchase.  [via]
